Culture Clash in SF this weekend

Written By: daveski on January 30, 2009 No Comment

I just heard a hilarious and biting clip on NPR from the Chicano/Latino performance troupe Culture Clash‘s “Culture Clash in AmeriCCa”. They’ll be performing tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday at the Brava Theater Center on 24th Street in San Francisco’s Mission District. The website explains that the group–Richard Montoya, Ric Salinas and Herbert Siguenza–was inspired by the progressive critical grassroots theater that came out of the Cesar Chavez-led United Farmworkers Union, and brings together “traditions of biting social satire, politcally and socially active theatre, and deft physical comedy”.
