Digital storytelling panel on Monday

Written By: daveski on November 22, 2008 No Comment

This coming Monday the 24th, the Berkeley Language Center will be hosting a panel discussion on digital storytelling, with Joe Lambert from the Center for Digital Storytelling, Heather Pleasants from the University of Alabama, and Mark Evan Nelson from the National Institute of Education in Singapore (and recent graduate of our very own Graduate School of Education!).

If you’re not familiar with this genre of storytelling, popular for learning literacy in the multiple modes of speech, writing, image, video, and music, come check it out! The panel will be in 370 Dwinelle, from 3-5pm.

Below is “Life-N-Rhyme” by a local artist whose digital creation got rave reviews and was the subject of an important article on multimodality by Glynda Hull and Mark Evan Nelson in 2005.
